STAY HUMAN

SEVEN-DAY FIELD PROTOCOL

A seven-day reset for people who feel distracted, overstimulated or disconnected from real life.

No app. No tracking. No performance. One action each day. Begin when ready.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

THE LOSS WAS GRADUAL.

Modern life rarely takes your humanity in one dramatic moment. It takes it in fragments: your attention, silence, courage, capability, movement and connection.

FIELD RULES

  • Complete one action per day.
  • Do not turn the challenge into content.
  • If you miss a day, continue. Do not wait for a new week.
  • Write one honest line after each action.

MISSION: ZEBBEDE exists to protect what is still human. This manual turns that sentence into action.

DAY 01 / ATTENTION

TAKE BACK YOUR ATTENTION

INTERCEPT: The first thing you touch each morning is training what controls the rest of your day.

FIELD ACTION

For the first 30 minutes after waking, do not touch your phone. No news, messages, weather, music or scrolling.

  • Put the phone in another room before sleep.
  • Do not replace it with another screen.
  • Wash, drink water, step outside or speak to someone.

WHY IT MATTERS: A day that begins with your own thoughts is harder to steer.

Debrief: What reached your mind before the feed did?

DAY 02 / SILENCE

RECLAIM SILENCE

INTERCEPT: Constant input keeps you occupied enough to avoid hearing yourself.

FIELD ACTION

Spend 10 minutes sitting or walking with no screen, music, podcast, conversation or task.

  • Be alone if you can.
  • Let the discomfort stay instead of filling it.
  • Notice what your mind reaches for.

WHY IT MATTERS: Silence separates your own signal from the noise placed around it.

Debrief: What thought did you first try to escape?

DAY 03 / COURAGE

DO ONE DIFFICULT THING

INTERCEPT: Convenience trained you to avoid friction. Capability is rebuilt inside it.

FIELD ACTION

Choose one task you have delayed. Give it 25 uninterrupted minutes and finish it or move it forward properly.

  • Name the task before you begin.
  • Keep the phone out of reach.
  • Do not switch tasks when discomfort arrives.

WHY IT MATTERS: Self-trust is not a feeling. It is evidence you create through action.

Debrief: What became possible once you stopped avoiding it?

DAY 04 / CONNECTION

HAVE A REAL CONVERSATION

INTERCEPT: Connection was broken into reactions, voice notes and half-attention.

FIELD ACTION

Give someone 20 minutes face-to-face or by voice. Put both phones away. Ask one real question and stay for the answer.

  • Do not multitask.
  • Do not turn the conversation back to yourself.
  • Allow silence without rushing to fill it.

WHY IT MATTERS: Full attention is one of the clearest ways to prove another person matters.

Debrief: What did you hear when you stopped waiting to speak?

DAY 05 / CAPABILITY

USE YOUR HANDS

INTERCEPT: Every ordinary task handed away leaves you slightly more dependent.

FIELD ACTION

Repair, make, cook, grow or maintain one useful thing yourself. Give it at least 30 minutes.

  • Use what you already have where possible.
  • Do not buy a solution before trying.
  • Choose a safe task within your ability.

WHY IT MATTERS: Capability is quiet resistance. It gives choice back to the person doing the work.

Debrief: What can you now do that you would have handed away?

DAY 06 / MOVEMENT

MOVE WITHOUT BEING ENTERTAINED

INTERCEPT: Even walking became another place to consume.

FIELD ACTION

Spend 30 minutes outside without headphones, music, a podcast or scrolling. Let the world be enough.

  • Keep the phone away unless needed for safety.
  • Notice the people, buildings, weather and sounds.
  • Make eye contact or acknowledge one person.

WHY IT MATTERS: You are not background content in your own life.

Debrief: What was present all along that you had stopped noticing?

DAY 07 / COMMUNITY

CHECK ON SOMEONE QUIET

INTERCEPT: Isolation becomes invisible when everyone still looks connected.

FIELD ACTION

Contact someone who has gone quiet. Ask, “How are you really doing?” Then make time for the answer.

  • Do not send a group message.
  • Listen without trying to fix everything.
  • Follow through after today.

WHY IT MATTERS: Community does not return through a campaign. It returns one act at a time.

Debrief: Who needs you to remain present after this message?

SIGNAL / CONTINUES

THE SEVEN DAYS ARE OVER.
THE WORK IS NOT.

Keep one action. Repeat it every week until it becomes part of who you are again.

  • Protect one phone-free hour.
  • Choose real conversation over passive contact.
  • Use your hands, move outside and check on someone quiet.

THE UNIFORM IS A MARKER.
THE ACTIONS ARE THE RESISTANCE.
